Balmung은 언제나 urban life에서 일어나는 도시와 사람들, 추상적 조형물 사이의 관계를 관찰해왔다. 이번시즌 Balmung의 디자이너인 Hachi는 그가 대부분의 일상을 보내는 도쿄 중심지의 하나인 신주쿠에서 영감을 받았다. 노숙자들, 주말마다 파티에 몰려다니는 신경질적인 어린 학생들, 야한 옷을 입은 소녀들, 길바닥의 쓰레기 더미 사이에서 수트를 입은 채 자고있는 남자들. 이런 다양한 사람들과 인간의 치명적 욕구, 소음을 포함해 신주쿠는 집처럼 안락함을 느낄 수도 혹은 정반대가 되기도 하는 도시이다. 이곳의 정신없는 공황은 어쩔 수 없이 사람들을 고조시키고 끊임없이 세상의 모든것을 소비하게 하는 낯설고, 정신없는 강렬한 도시를 만들어냈다. 이렇게 기이하게 뒤섞인 감각의 도시가 이번시즌 디자이너가 영감을 얻고 컬렉션에 관여된 부분이기도 하다. 텅 비었지만 존재하는 것, 기상천외하게 퇴폐적인, Deadly happy grunge.

Balmung has always looked at the relationship between the city and the citizens and abstractive construction happening in the urban life. For the 2013AW season, Balmung's designer Hachi was inspired by one the centric city in Tokyo Shinjuku where he spends most of his daily life. Homeless, annoying young students gathering up for weekend's party, girls in unchaste dresses, drunk men in suits sleeping on the street beside the trash bag. Involving and crossing over any kinds of people, noise and the human being's fatal desire, Shinjuku is the city where people disapprove and feel relieved like home at the same time. This manic panic created a strange world with a frenetic sense where people can't help but keep feeling high ceaselessly and consuming everything from all over the world, which the designer feel inspired and related to make his collection fantastically. These Strangely hybrid senses of this city was influenced by. Empty but existing, fantastically decadent, deadly happy grunge.
